PRESENTATION
Santa Barbara Foundation is an Cultural Foundation and non-profit agency under the Ministry of Economy and Employment of Castile and Leon, which has its origin in a collaboration agreement signed on 13 July 1988 between the INEM and the Junta de Castilla y León, officially becoming a notary on 13 September 1989, to collaborate with social welfare and the promotion of these cultural activities aimed at promoting knowledge and scientific and technical research.
Today, Santa Barbara Foundation is a consolidated entity, working in training tasks and R & D, acting always within the field of applied technology, security, and technological progress, developing its activity in their centers :
- La Ribera de Folgoso (León county).
- Caboalles de Arriba (León county).
- Riofrio de Aliste (Zamora county).
In its formative aspect, the Santa Barbara Foundation provides occupational training courses and continuing education training expertise in many areas: Underground Construction, Earthworks, Electro, Renewable Energy and Environment. Their staff and facilities allow them to provide eminently practical training, with appropriate scale pits for proper insertion oriented learning and professional development.
In the section on I + D, Santa Barbara Foundation provides, participation and promotes research and applied technology, in collaboration with various technology-based entities, universities, research bodies and companies.
